Let me cut straight to the chase. I'd be very grateful if you could take 5 minutes to make a donation for a very worthwhile cause.

The CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Research Trust is a fantastic charity which funds research to get people with spinal cord injuries out of wheelchairs and back on their feet.

Some years ago one of the families at our boys' primary school was involved in a terrible car crash. Three children were being driven home from school by their grandmother. Four year old Adam died and six year old Holly was paralysed from the waist down.

When Holly's dad, David Prestorious, asked if I'd support the CatWalk Trust by running the New York marathon I couldn't possibly say no.

So here I go. Yes it will be an amazing personal experience and I'll love the challenge. But first and foremost my goal is to help CatWalk by raising as much as I can for them.
